LONDON, England, UK – Kenyan Culture and Conservation will be two core themes in Kenya Tourism Board’s (KTB) tourism strategy for 2016 and so this year at World Travel Market (WTM), the KTB team is inviting travel agents to join them in celebrating Kenya’s diverse culture and traditions with Magical Kenya Cultural Day and will be launching competitions and incentives to raise money for the Born Free Foundation and its projects in Kenya.

Magical Kenya Cultural Day at WTM 2015
Join the Kenya team for the Magical Kenya Cultural Day on Wednesday 4th November on the Kenya stand (AF270) at WTM 2015. All are invited to come and meet Kenya’s cultural ambassadors and learn more about its cultural offering from arts and crafts to traditional performances. This day of cultural events inspired by Kenya’s music, arts and people will include cultural performances and demonstrations taking place on the Kenya stand throughout the day. For the grand finale, Kenya will join forces with Rwanda and Uganda to celebrate the East African Community and their work together in the region with a joint festival to be hosted across the three stands from 6-8 pm.
Kenya Tourism Board’s Grand Prize Draw in support of the Born Free Foundation
Enter Kenya Tourism Board’s WTM 2015 Grand Prize Draw to be in with a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime twin center holiday for two to magical Kenya courtesy of Kenya Airways, Heritage Hotels, Safarilink and Gamewatchers Safaris. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Born Free Foundation, simply purchase a raffle ticket on the Kenya stand (AF270) from Monday to Thursday at WTM. Tickets cost £2 for one ticket or £5 for a strip of 5 tickets and the winning ticket will be drawn on the Kenya stand on Thursday, November 5, at 3pm. This fantastic prize includes 2 return economy class flights with Kenya Airways, 3 nights at the Heritage Mara Intrepids Camp in the Maasai Mara, 4 nights on the coast at Heritage Voyager Beach Resort, domestic flights with Safarilink, airport transfers with Gamewatchers Safaris and park fees provided by the Kenya Tourism Board.
#RescueRaffiWTM competition with lucky dip prizes
Kenya Tourism Board, in partnership with Kenya Airways and the Born Free Foundation, invites WTM attendees to “Rescue Raffi the Lion” from Tuesday to Thursday at the show by tweeting a picture saying where they spotted him. Raffi was one of the first lions to be rescued by the Born Free Foundation and to raise awareness of the foundation’s work, this year at WTM a number of Raffi cuddly toys will be placed around the ExCel Centre for visitors to find. If you find a Raffi, tweet a photo of you with the lion at @MagicalKenyaUK using the hashtag #RescueRaffiWTM saying where you spotted him then head to the Kenya stand (AF270) for a lucky dip prize
