Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism Board Paris-based Director for Europe, continues to be innovative as she works with her team to claim her fair share of French holidaymakers.
Bernadette Willemin, was in Seychelles last December for the 2013 Marketing Meeting when the island’s private sector sat with the Tourism Board to map out the plan of action by the Tourism Board for the following year. “This public-private sector partnership is and will remain important in how Seychelles manages its tourism industry,” Alain, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, said when he opened the last session of this annual meeting.
The successful work by all the overseas offices of the Seychelles Tourism Board is a bit the result of this planning meeting. Bernadette Willemin in Paris stated to the Le Quotidien that it is a first for 35 travel agents of France to be taken to Seychelles by Promo Agence and the Seychelles Tourism Board so that they discover why this should be a destination of choice for French holidaymakers. A program called “My Seychelles” is being supported by Air Seychelles, Etihad, and Beachcomber and Constance Hotels. A total of 1896 travel agents enrolled in the program to get the chance to travel to Seychelles, out of which the 35 were chosen.
Travel agents have again confirmed that Seychelles remains the dream destination for not only visitors from France but also for themselves, the travel agents of France.
Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
