Zambia and Ghana aiming to boost tourist arrivals

Zambia and Ghana are considering possibilities of signing a Memorandum of Understanding-MoU aimed at boosting tourist arrivals in both countries.

A Ghanaian delegation led by Ghana Tourist Development Company Chief Executive Officer Samuel Atta Mills is the country to explore areas of possible collaboration between the countries.

And Zambia’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Timothy Walamba says there is need for both countries’ to cement existing relationships to address the problem of Youth unemployment.

Meanwhile, Tour Operators Union of Ghana President, Nancy Sam observed that African countries should take a lead in marketing their own tourism products.

Earlier, Ministry of Tourism Director Ambassador Albert Muchanga has called on African countries to work together towards revamping the tourism industry on the continent.
